We are proud of our uniform, which combines smartness with functionality and durability. Pupils are expected to wear their full uniform on the way to and from school.

There is no uniform expectation for our nursery and preschool children; instead, we have some guidelines on play-friendly clothing in our nursery and preschool section. 

Second-hand uniform

As we are a new school, there are limitations around second-hand uniform.   

However, we will work with our school PTA (Friends and Family) to develop a second-hand uniform shop and request donations of second-hand uniform throughout the year. Donations should be clean and free from damage.

If you have items to donate, please bring to the School Office.

Uniform Guidelines: Years R (reception) - 6

Branded items:

• Tartan pinafore
• Sweatshirt or cardigan
• Book bag

Non-branded items: 

• Navy gingham school dress (summer only)
• Charcoal grey trousers or tailored shorts
• Plain, collared, navy polo shirt 
• Black non-branded shoes (laces only when children can tie them independently)
• Black or white socks or black tights

PE Kit (to be kept in a bag in school during term time):

• Branded PE shorts
• Branded PE bag (optional)
• Plain white t-shirt 
• PE shoes - black plimsolls or trainers with a non-marking sole

Other items:

• Children in nursery, pre-school and reception will also require a pair of wellies which can be kept at school

Uniform Guidelines: Years 7–11

Branded items:

• Tartan kilt-style skirt
• Jumper or cardigan 
• Matford Brook tie 

Non-branded items:

• White button-down shirt (short sleeves in hot weather if preferred)
• Charcoal grey trousers or tailored shorts
• Black non-branded shoes (see our uniform policy for examples)
• Black, grey or white socks or black tights

Branded PE Kit:

• Sports polo

Non-branded PE Kit (some branded items available if preferred):

• Shorts/ Skort/ 2-in-1 shorts
• Navy sports socks
• Navy jogging bottoms (cold weather only in place of shorts)
• Plain black base layers (cold weather only) 

Specialist PE Kit:

• Gum shield (compulsory for hockey and rugby)
• Shin pads (compulsory for football, rugby and all Y7 & Y8 participating in sports during breaks)
• Moulded boots (plastic studs) - essential for use on our 4G pitch

Other items:

• A suitable bag for carrying academic and PE items to school (rucksacks are recommended with a separate bag for PE kit)
• A water bottle
